Jorge Uliarte was born in Córdoba/Argentina and worked as conductor with the Berliner Symphoniker and the Moscow Symphony Orchestra. Since 2005 he is the artistic director and founder of the „Festival Internacional de Ushuaia“ in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. In 2011 he founded a new music festival in Orvieto/Italy.

At 16 he made his debut as a pianist at the Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires. He won the international Ravel-competition of South America. In 1990 he founded the „Pan American Youth Orchestra“ which headquarters were in Buenos Aires. With the „Pan American Youth Orchestra“ he worked as a conductor as well as a pianist. In London, Sir Georg Solti took notice of Uliarte and invited him to the Salzburg Festival as his assistant.

In 2005 Uliarte has founded the southernmost music festival in the world in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina and since that he is the artistic director. This festival is held under the auspices of the city and province of Salzburg.

In 2006 Uliarte worked with the „Prague Symphony Orchestra Dvorak“. In 2007 with the „Berlin Symphony Orchestra“ which was invited for a concert-tour through Argentina. In 2008 Uliarte founded his own orchestra, under the title „Orquesta Filarmonica de Ushuaia“.

In March 2008, a major highlight of his career took place when Uliarte made his debut in the Berlin Philharmonie. The concert was played by the Berlin Symphony Orchestra which Jorge Uliarte conducted. In November 2008 Uliarte led many concerts as conductor of the „Berlin Symphony Orchestra“ in Argentina, including concerts in Mar del Plata at the international film festival, the „Teatro Argentino“ in La Plata, another concert in the „Teatro El Circulo“ in Rosario, as well as in the „Teatro Coliseo“ in Buenos Aires. The highlight of the tour was an open-air concert for 60,000 people – in the center of Buenos Aires – at the obelisk – the city’s landmark. This concert was also broadcasted on television via satellite, reaching more than 30 million viewers.

In April 2009 Uliarte conducted lots of concerts with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra in Argentina, including concerts at the Teatro Bristol / Martinez, Auditorio Belgrano, Teatro Coliseo and additional concerts at the International Music Festival of Ushuaia.

From 2010 until now he conducted many concerts with different orchestras, in Moscow, China, Argentina and Italy.
